In 2003, after discovering MUD while in LA for a modeling convention, Kandis attended the Beauty Make-up course followed by the Studio Hairstyling course at MUD.
Kandis learned the essentials of beauty and corrective make-up for fashion, print, film, and television. During this course Kandis mastered many different aspects of make-up application to include:
-cosmetic fundamentals
-facial analysis blending
-corrective techniques
-make-up for all occasions like fashion, glamour, fantasy and mature
-complete photo shoot layouts with professional photographers
During the studio hairstyling course which is designed for the ever expanding role of today's make-up artist, Kandis learned the fundamentals of temporary sets and hairstyles such as:
-hair texture and facial structure analysis
-special occasion hairstyling
-period and fantasy styling
-and clamp on extensions
